Idaho

Idaho is typically associated with one particular food item: potatoes. The state even has a museum just for potatoes, aka, the Idaho Potato Museum.¹ Idaho’s geographic location and weather has created a prime environment for the growth of potatoes; primarily sunny weather, volcanic soil and just the right amount of rain and snow throughout the seasons are to thank for the versatile crop.² The importance of potatoes reflects in a couple of Idaho’s most common jobs, agricultural inspectors and graders for agricultural products.³

When it comes to occupational safety and health administration in Idaho, the state follows federal regulations. There is currently one federal OSHA office covering private-sector employees and workers; it is located in Little Rock.⁴ Learn more about Idaho OSHA here.
