When it comes to occupational safety and health administration in North Carolina, it’s one of twenty-two states/territories that have OSHA-approved State Plans that covers private and state and local government workplaces. Both the North Carolina State Plan Office and the OSHA Area Office are located in Raleigh. The NC OSH division cover private sector workplaces with some exceptions; interestingly, The American National Red Cross is covered by Federal OSHA rather than the state plan.
